RHIB Trainer

The NAUTIS RHIB trainer integrates a full hardware and software setup for lifelike simulation of small fast craft, like RHIBs. RHIBs are increasingly used for special operations, like anti-terrorist and anti-piracy operations. The NAUTIS RHIB trainer is used for:

• Mission Rehearsal involving multiple vessels (e.g. frigates,  helicopters and several RHIBs).
• Communication under stressful and noisy conditions. Communications protocols can work perfectly in a clean and silent classroom situation. Put them in practice on a fast moving craft, with waves, objects to avoid, attacking enemies and the distraction level can lead to far from perfect communications. The RHIBs move so fast that there is hardly any time to repeat messages and correct mistakes. Simulator training can help to make the special task forces familiar with all the distractions, and still focused on the important communications.
• Using new devices under future operating conditions (eg. heat sensors, modern radars, chart systems).
• Aiming & firing on board of shaking and bouncing vessels. Coordinate between the helmsman and the shooters to achieve the best results, even on heavy seas.

Depending on the required training type, the RHIB trainer configuration can be selected (with or without motion platform).
