Communications Trainer

The NAUTIS Radio Communications Trainer permits multiple students to communicate with each other and with the instructor. Students can be assigned to specific radio channels, for example to simulate two different Task Groups each operating on a different set of frequencies.
International communication standards and/or navy specific protocols can be trained.

The basic communications trainer is perfectly suitable for operation on touch screen panels, providing a more lifelike interaction with the instruments. Optional ‘Push To Talk’ handset available. The Communications Trainer includes the following components:

CLIENT INFORMATION DEVICE:
The client information device is used to display client information, specified for each trainee. The instructor is able to prepare user presets. Featuring:
  •     Trainee username
  •     Trainee callsign
  •     Trainee MMSI Number
  •     Optional trainee military callsign

CALL FACILITY
The call facility is used by the instructor to broadcast information/instructions regarding the training to all the trainees at once. Featuring:

  •     One way voice communication
  •     Text messaging

VHF RADIO
Ability for each communications user to practice with one VHF radio in a network environment. Featuring:

  •     VHF duplex channel (00-99)
  •     Wattage settings (1 or 25W mode)
  •     Squelch control is facilitated
  •     Push to talk button
  •     Adjustable brightness
  •     Configuration option for two VHF sets

HF RADIO
The HF Radio facilitates communications user to practice with one HF radio in a network environment.  The HF radio is used to practice HF procedures. Featuring:

  •     Channel or frequency mode
  •     HF duplex channels (00-99)
  •     HF frequency range from 3000.00 - 30 000.00 kHz.
  •     Push to talk button

UHF RADIO
Ability for each communications user to practice with one UHF radio in a network environment.  The UHF radio is used to practice UHF procedures. Featuring:

  •     Frequency or channel mode
  •     UHF duplex channels (00-99)
  •     UHF frequency range 300 – 3000 MHz.
  •     Push to talk button

INTERCOM
Use an Intercom in a network environment for communicating within a group. Featuring:

  •     Different groups can be used
  •     One public group channel
  •     Private group channels (1-9)
  •     Push to talk button

INSTRUCTOR STATION
An instructor station can monitor trainees. The instructor can see what channel is selected by a trainee, and whether the trainee is listening or broadcasting. Featuring:

  •     Monitor up to 20 trainees simultaneously
  •     Trainee accounts can be prepared by an instructor
  •     Radio frequency jamming
  •     Radio and intercom monitoring and broadcasting
